Fun-Filled Weekend!

We started the weekend off by doing a project I saw in the Family Fun Magazine. You start off by putting the rubber bands on the shirt and then you dye them orange, dry them, then get a Sharpie or Fabric Marker and draw the jack-o-lantern faces on them. Sounds pretty easy, right? Well, let's just say it took us a couple of days to get all of it done. But we all had a great time doing it!
We did this project with Justin's parents and his older brother. It was fun to see how creative everybody was with theirs. I think the spooky scene on the left corner of Justin's shirt is pretty darn good, he drew that just by looking at a picture. It was fun for all of us to see what everybody else had created when we were done.

After the pumpkin shirts, My friend Sunni and I really wanted to take the kids to a corn maze. We load them up and head off to Rigby, while driving there you pass the corn maze, we look over at it and all the corn is cut. Justin says "Dude, all the corn is cut down!". I say "Oh, maybe it just looks like it from here, let's still drive there just to make sure." We got there and sure enough all of it had been cut, we just start laughing, the kids start crying saying "can't you just grow some more corn?" Sorry, I just realized all the pictures are out of order, oh well, it will take me forever to fix it, I'm still new to this whole blog thing.

We didn't find a corn maze, but we did find a straw maze. It was so much fun after Trin finally stopped crying. We get there and we find out that people are dressed up inside the maze to scare you, so Trin just starts crying and freaking out. We finally convinced her to go inside with us, well I don't know if convincing is the right word for it, we told her We've already paid, you're going in here with us.

Here's my scared little Trin about 2 minutes into it, aren't we mean parents? She did loosen up after about 10 minutes, it helped that every so often I would say "Hey scary people, little kids are coming, please stay in your hole." The people there were great, I would recommend doing this to everyone.

Here we are before entering the maze.

I've always wanted to take the girls to a pumpkin patch to pick out a pumpkin, but we don't have anything like that around here. We had to settle for Broulim's, I'm sure people were staring at me when I said "Hey girls go over to that box of pumpkins so I can take your picture." We didn't even end up buying a pumpkin there, we went down the street to some neighbors and got some for .10/lb.! I really just wanted the picture of them!

Susie!!!
I wish you could see how hard I am laughing! Those pictures of you daughter shouldn't make me laugh this way, but man... that was hilarious. Probably because every parent has been through the same scenario.
You haven't changed one bit by the way!
I love your blog- I love getting to see old chums and their fams.
P.S. The shirt idea looks fun... I might try it.
