We got him!

We finally caught this character. We think this is what killed the chickens, we've been trying to catch him for a while. We had 3 traps set, he destroyed the first one, ripped the back of it completely off, the second one ended up catching a skunk. Third one worked like a charm. A raccoon just can't resist eggs, bread with jam (thanks for the tip Mere.), and a donut.
I heard the trap go off last night at about midnight, so Justin walked out and checked it, he was so glad to see that we finally caught him. He is pretty cute, but a very big pain in the butt.

Oh and as for the post below about having a badger, just ignore it. It was just what we thought it was at first which was a Big Ass Rock Chuck, we've seen them in the field next to us. I looked up Idaho Badgers online and they don't look anything like each other.....and Yes, I do feel like an idiot. I think I will get crap for this one for years to come!

Fun Times

We woke up this morning hoping to go to the park and eat lunch and play, but in true Idaho fashion it has to blow like a MUTHA outside. So the kids colored, played with play-dough, watched a movie, and played with their baby dolls.

When Justin got home tonight, he loaded up the kids and went to his parents house to drop off a part. Justin bought Elliott a bug juice for the ride and said Elliott burped the entire ride out there and then would just laugh. Once they got there, Gretchen and Grandpa Lage asked if he wanted a little Snicker's candy bar. He denied it at first, but then grabbed it up quick once Justin told him it was Chocolate. The only nap he had today was about 10 minutes, then after that he got his second wind. But he was really good and just played a lot. After dinner tonight we gave the kids some chocolate ice cream. This kid LOVES chocolate! Here he is drinking the ice cream that had melted. You would be so proud of him, he ate his dinner so good tonight. He liked it when we did the choo-choo and airplane, then he even made up a few of his own....the rhino, the tractor, and the race car. He is pure entertainment for us! We love him so much.
I gave him a bath after dinner and while I was drying him off he started to pee everywhere. He just giggled, so I stuck him back in the bath. This is the only way he would let me put his underwear on him today was on the outside of his jammie bottoms. But the best part of the night with him was when I was pulling up his pants and he just hugs me and says " I wub you Susie!" This kid can melt your heart and people wonder why he has me wrapped around his finger!

We really wanted to go to the Drive-In, but the wind didn't cooperate. So after it died down a little we strapped him into his stroller and went for a walk down the lane. Then Jacque was throwing him up in the air, he loved it and just kept giggling and saying "again, again!" He didn't go to sleep as well as the night before, but finally dropped at about 11:35 p.m. and is still asleep right now. Hopefully the Drive-In works out tonight. I will keep you posted.

S'more of What!

Hey Paula, since you were so good about blogging about what you did with my girls, let me return the favor!
Here's your Bubba after eating a S'more!
After you left on Sunday, we chilled for a little bit and then went down to Sunni's pool (sorry no pictures). We all only lasted about 30 minutes in the pool, Elliott thought it was fun to ride that big dolphin. He kept saying "Elliott ride Shark" I would say "No, not right now Trin is on it" He would say so cute "Yes, I cannn!" You can hear him saying that right? Well, he rode it a lot, but then it just got way too cold. So we came home and ate lunch and then he took about a hour long nap. We played inside after he woke up because this crazy wind storm was going on outside. Then we ate dinner, he was excited about having bacon, Justin made a fire and we made S'mores. He thought the fire was pretty exciting, he thought it was awesome when I would let him throw something into it.

When Trin got up he would run into her spot, so we decided the best spot for him was in the middle of the girls. He loved it! I think he felt like such a big boy!
This is were Elliott ended up staying until we went inside, he snuggled up to Justin. I think he would have fallen asleep here, if we would of stayed out longer.

It turned out to be a really good day! He went to sleep good and slept for 10 1/2 hours. Thank you for letting us keep him for the week. We're having lots of fun with him.

Utah adventures

We went to Utah for the 4th of July, here's how we started the weekend off. We're in the church parking lot letting the kids ride the motorcycle and Jeep (Yes, I am the type of Mom who dresses her kids in the same thing...I think it's cute!)

Paula on her scooter pulling Zoe and Elliott.We had a good time until Zoe almost went into oncoming traffic, luckily she fell before she got to the road. All of our hearts were beating pretty fast when that happened. The little adventure ended after Trin rode the motorcycle on the grass through dog poo. She was riding and said "Ooh, I smell poop!" then we noticed and called it a day! We went back to Paula and Jay D.'s for some yummy enchiladas.

SISTERS

This is how the girls fell asleep on our way to Utah for the 4th of July! My mom always told me someday that my sisters would be my best friend, I thought she was full of it. Now I know she was right! But now that's what I tell my girls too, I think they think I'm full of it!

Country Living (Scary!!)

So Here's what I saw last Thursday when I opened my curtains at about 9:30 a.m.

I mean really, I don't need these freaky ass mean animals in my yard.

At first, we thought it was just a big-ass Rock Chuck. Oh...No, it was confirmed last night that it was a Badger. My good friend Jacque was over last night, her husband is a big time hunter and taxidermist and I showed her the pics. She said "Oh that's a Badger Susie, not a Rock Chuck!" Let me tell ya, I was...am still really freaked out by this. Then as we are sitting here looking at the pictures, we look out on our deck and realize that a Big-Ass Raccoon is right by our door. What the hell animals... stay away! Oh did I mention in true Red-Neck fashion we had chickens for about a month, well when something killed 2 of the 13 chickens we had, we decided to get rid of them. Now I'm guessing either one of the giant rodent things killed them. So needless to say Justin is setting traps tonight to get them! Sometimes Country living Bites!

Oh, Paula PLEASE don't let this sway you from letting the Bubba stay with us!

Father's Day

Happy Father's Day!We are so lucky to have such a GREAT guy in our lives. This is how great Justin is: At 8 a.m. on Father's Day we get a call from Richard saying that his car is broken down in Burley. So, Justin gets Richard and heads off to Burley. They get to the car and Justin gets it started and they make it to a parts store. Justin figures that it's the alternator and proceeds to buy one and install it in the parts store parking lot. He didn't get home until almost 5 p.m., needless to say I had 2 little girls not too happy with their Uncle Rich. They both told him "thanks for taking our Dad away from us on Father's Day!" Richard apologized a lot that day to the girls, I know he was grateful for Justin.
You see, that's just the type of guy Justin is, he's willing to go out and help someone on a day devoted to him, Father's Day. He is so selfless, he's always thinking of us. I love how he plays with our girls and how they look up to him, they both absolutely adore him. I love that when he hears them singing a song that he thinks is so cool that they know, his face lights up and he can't help but smile. I love that we are "his girls"! I know this is late Justin but Thanks for all you do for our family, I don't know what we would do without you!
This year we made a cake with a lawn mower on it, then we printed off a picture of Justin and made it look like he was mowing the lawn. The girls were so excited to give it to him and he loved it.

Oh Girls!
